A Collection of My Poems About Life, Love, and the World We Live In

Time

As Time knelt by the old stone pillar,
Snow began to fall,
Patchy bits, and pieces here,
And there against the wall,
Stood I.

Apex Twin

A fortuneteller told a tale,
The future written then,
That half of me is missing now,
I'd find myself again.
All my life i've felt alone,
And never reasoned why,
But half of me is missing now,
A part of me that died.

Breakfast to the Wicked

Searing pain of bacon grease,
Like burning sunlight screams,
Through doughy eyes i watched the world,
Forgetting all my dreams.

Somewhere a siren rang in glory,
Piercing in my head,
Whilst the chasms of my iron heart,
Would fill with tears, instead.

I longed to see an end to this,
And swore I'd never break,
But promises that held no truth,
Are all I'd ever make?

Panic (A Loud Silence)

My heart began to pound in time,
With the beating of the clock,
That time was getting closer now,
Tick-tock!, Tick-tock!

As panic settled down my spine ,
My head began to cloud,
Unsettling me from staying clear,
The silence was so loud.

Damned if You Do, Damned if You Don't

Ever wonder why you've done exactly,
What you didn't want to do,
Why that niggling in your mind tells you,
When you've had enough.
Who's to tell you what to do,
Where you're concerned?
But it never stops you doing,
What you didn't want to do.

Passing Day

Broken

The candle of my midnight sky, that holds my lonely cloud.
The soul of crackled leaf that crunched my heart.

The silence of my empty house, that echoes off the walls,
The voices of the death that filled my past.

The haven of my only grave, that's written in my name,
The feelings of my life that broke at last.

A Song Called Twilight.

Beneath  a flame that lightened candle,
Dwelt a lonely soul,
Staring over lands far-reaching,
Twilight took it's toll.

Memories that clasped beseeching,
Formed like melting ice,
A heart that once saw love before it,
Beckoned only twice.

New light that shone through open lining,
Struck the empty floor,
Dancing through the creeping shadows,
Opened up the door,

Until that time, the earth stood still,
Waiting with all might,
When suddenly the reason came, to sing
A song called Twilight.

Writers Block

Time and time again, I sit, can't write a thing,
Can't remember what i've done, or where I,ve been.
I know that some day i'll just drift off, fall asleep.
Couldn't say when I'll wake up, nor do I care,
Because I know that when I wake I'll be the same,
The page in front of me will always be blank.

Angel's Feet

Empty of my life, I trod,
On Angel's feet like ice
Then shattered by myself, I feared,
My own worst enemy,
Was me.

Uncovered Stone

I looked upon my life laid bare,
Some things that made no sense to me,
But clearer than the air i breathe,
Was the shadow of myself.
I'd trodden footsteps one too many.
Fulfilling age old prophecy,
But clearer than the air i see,
Was the one forever close to me.
